Finally, I have something to post!
Hi everyone. My name is Kathleen and I am very excited to be apart of this amazing group.
Well, I joined in the reindeer games a little late and now that we are onto week 3, I finally have week 1 “finished”. I am pretty excited about this whole process, but week 2 is making me nervous. I have a TON of things floating in my head, but not sure how to get them down. Maybe I should journal how incredibly scared I feel about posting my work. Now THAT’S a risk! The work I have seen here is phenomenal. I am just in awe!
Now, let’s see if I can get a picture posted!
Here is my journal cover. It is titled “My Artistic Self”. I am focusing this challenge on developing my artistic ability and skills. I have felt pretty stagnant in my work and needed a little “push”.
This is my intro. It started out as my week one challenge, but I decided to make it into an intro instead. Sort of explain to myself and anyone who may happen upon this journal, why I made it. I printed the photos of myself onto a transparency for no other reason than I have never done it before. Kind of cool how it turned out. One image is color and then progress to a slightly more washed out image. Again, for no other reason than I like how it looks.
This is my week one challenge. As my beginning, I am pushing for my style to Evolve. To no longer rest on what I am comfortable with. For this and the above pages I use Papier paints, paper, and Mod Podge. Any journaling I did prior to the Mod Podge layer was done with a Micron pen. But after I used a slick writer – it writes on anything!
So here goes…time to push the publish button! Hope this works! :)
