article: Risk/Kris | written down

This is my Risk entry for the week. My given name is Kris and I have found it interesting to think about the mere placement change of one letter, and how it alters the meaning of a word. I have not considered myself all that risk-friendly, but after listing the risks I have taken thusfar, I think I will re think my feelings about myself. I am working with fabric, textile paints, rubber stamps, etc. The “ris” part of this piece is a flap, under which I have listed the risks I have taken. As you can see, the “k” can change position. I have also written one of my favorite quotes: “and the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to bloom” Anais Nin.
