Last Weeks Mid-Week Spark

I had the journaling done on my blog, but hadn’t made a page for it yet for my journal. This morning I had an idea.

The journaling reads:
This is the mid-week spark that has been given by the Art Journal Challenge. Three books I see.

stand up.
find the nearest book.
pick it up, read the covers only and put it down.
turn so you’re facing another direction. repeat.
and one more time.

you’ve just read three important things about your life as it is right now. but, what does it say exactly?

“In Plain Sight” a book about Elizabeth Smart. This is the girl who was kidnapped by that psycho guy who thought he was a god or working toward it. He was here in San Diego! Ok, San Diego county, so I would have never seen them, but HELLO! Living downtown as I do, that strange sight would have grabbed me good. Being so outspoken I probably would have talked to them, but really, WHO KNOWS! Poor girl, she was just plain brainwashed.

Two magazines I think are the absolute coolest that I’ve discovered are “Ready Made-Instructions for everyday life”, and “How”. The latter I discovered through Ali’s and Donna’s blogs. I guess I wouldn’t say these are books, but they are what are around me right now.

What does that say about me? The book about Elizabeth is just because I’m curious about what happened to her. Laurie loned it to me. Nothing deep about that. The cool mags might say something about me though. I’m very interested in learning more about design principles and anything design related. That explains “How” mag. As for “Ready Made” it is just cool mag about creating “things” yourself. The cover for this month says “make stuff: classic lamps, scrapbooks, room dividers, spring rolls, a plan” and “Easy Makeovers! 26 ways to change your: KITCHEN! BEDROOM! LIGHTING! PERSONALITY!” How could I NOT pick up this magazine. It’s going to tell me how to change my personality. I LOVE THAT!

I think I would take out some things of my personality, such as: my loud laugh, my quick anger, my judgment of people, and a few other things. Then I would add in: calmness, peacefulness with what I already have, the ablitly to see others first in a GOOD light, HMMMM, that list could go on and on.

Hope that is not to much information!
And, to all of you, HAVE A GREAT DAY!!!!
