For some reason I can’t seem to get my autobio page to load, so I have put it on Flickr. I have been happily lurking along, so this one was a very good bump to get back into my art journal.

I’m really sorry, It’s me, yet again with more pages ;)
I had a go at doing the autobio prompt from last week. I’m not sure its exactly what Shimelle had in mind but I gave it my best!
I’m Only 25, so have only got just under three decades to tell you about.
The first decade, up till ten I’ve represented with white and acetate, simply bacause I just can’t remember much about it. I’m sure I was happy. I just cant remember it!
The second decade (middle), my teenage years. I couldn’t sum it up with one thing so just used word that ment something to me and what I went through. The Black tie PP and wings also represent the kind of things I was in to in my late teens.
The Last decade, for me has been all about finding real love & happiness (I’m still looking), hence the paper. The defining moment of my twentys was leaving my boyfriend and our home. Nothing has been the same since!

I had a lot of fun making this one! I used 7gypsies paper, cut out my hands (on the photos you didn’t see the scars). Painted them en also painted wooden rounds & stars. Then wrote on each hand how I got the scar.
When finished I thought about scars and figured I also have some you cannot see, but are “there” for me. I wrote about these on the back side. Always good how Shimelle get us thinking!

I’m really pleased with how this one evolved, especially as I was pretty tired when I started it! I am the eldest of 4 children, my sister Kate is only a couple of years younger than me so as kids we spent a lot of time together, sometimes getting on, other times hating each other. I guess even though we’re sisters we didn’t appear to have that much in common as children, we fought a lot! Now we’re really good friends, our scars have healed and we’ve have a relationship I’m proud of. So many people comment that we’re close and I love that!
(In the wedding picture I’m the bride and the kid’s picture I’m the older one!)
I’d been inspired by an AOL billboard poster – “has technology killed the art of conversation? Discuss.” It seemed to follow on so well from what I’d been thinking about my laptop being a window out into the big wide world for me, that I had to create this page along side the windows one.
I allways seem to forget that orange is a difficult colour for the web. It looks all bright and shiny in photoshop, than I upload the file and it is not bright orange at all :-(. I tried to make it better in image ready but that wasn’t much of a help.
Well sorry you’ll have to do it with a faint orange…
And no, it is not snowing in Amsterdam right now, these where old picutures I used ;-).

Did a page last night about my ‘real’ scars. Really enjoyed doing it, I love pink and black together!
I guess I dont have too many scars, but the ones I do have are nasty stretch marks (Arrrrrrrrr – whats with all the ‘mark’ references). I dont have kids so really I have no excuses!

This is my page for the quick prompt. I did it in about 20 minutes. To start with I picked the 7 gypsies tag, with wishes on it then when from there! I’m loving going these quick pages – means I get to do a little something creative everyday, even if its in the half hour before I got to bed!

I have done the page from last week coz it just struck such a cord with me. It was actually something I’ve been thinking about for a while. It’s not about a physical scar I have, but more a emotional one a guy recently left me with. His name was Mark, I was crazy about him – still am I guess, but we are trying to do the ‘friends’ thing. Planning on doing one about ‘real’ scars aswell so stay tuned!

haven’t posted in forever. thought i would throw this out there. did this art journal page tonight. my first one in i think over a month. life is crazy, and i watch it slip away. i need to STOP & remember that THE TIME IS NOW.
