Be Positive

Hey Guys,

Sorry, it been too long again! Work has been ‘orible and has stopped me doing fun stuff :( Oh well! This is what I have for you today.

I kind of put a different spin on the ‘positive’ prompt. Things arnt so great at the momment and I’m struggling, this is about how I’m finding it hard to be positive, and wish I could find something to be positive about. Not much of an ‘arty’page, but I guess its about the writing!

Hope everyones ok!

When I grow up...

Honestly, I don’t want to grow up. I think that when I grow up, I will lose a spark or something. But returning to the game board theme, I have edged the page with small square images that represent who I am. :)

Thanks for sharing with me on this journey!! :)I am having a blast!!

Flowers

In the fall, New England has the wonderful change of the leaves. The colors inspire many to drive and look.
In Texas, we have the Spring. The wildflowers are wonderous. In fact there is a law in Texas that you can’t mow the wildflowers down. Former First Lady, Lady Bird Johnson, started a wildflower planting project when she returned to Texas. Most springs are filled with color, but due to the drought we are having a short fall of beauty. I cut this photo from a magazine (Texas Highways).

Week 14 - windows

Well, here’s my entry for week 14 – no text this week, I like the way the picture montage has come out and i don’t feel it needs text. I’ll prob mull it over and change my mind tomorrow, so for now the page next to it is blank, just in case!

spring re-furb, update #2

Well thanks for the comments ladies! Holly funny you should suggest shelves, they’re something I have LOADS of… I’m thinking of getting a funky table cloth to go over the table so that I can just stuff everything underneath and not know it’s there. In the same way that as a kid playing hide and seek – if my eyes were shut they couldn’t see me!!

Until this time yesterday I couldn’t see the floor infront of these shelves, piles of stuff had just reproduced infront of them, I swear it looked like I was breeding stuff, so pleased it’s all put away…. remember if you can’t see it it’s not there!

Happy Easter

Close up canvas and update!

In response to Kim’s comments here’s a close up of the canvas on the wall in my dead corner!

I’ve just spent the last hour sorting out my craft room, and can see the floor again! I’ve actually been able to vacuum… I think it’s the prospect of a four day weekend with loads of time to play and create that motivated me to get it sorted!

Refreshment!

Last week I painted my bedroom with the help of two friends. We also put a major “picture” of Greece on the wall. So now when I wake up I see the sea! Quite a big project, but all in line with this weeks assignment.

This morning two men where at my door from the housing assosiation I rent from. The came for the mice problem (I had sent an email, but never got an answer).

They started to look and it was behind the kitchen sink. A really old one. Then I asked if it would be expensive to replace it. He made a phone call and came back that they could install a new kitchen this afternoon! They repaired the holes and placed the new kitchen. I had moved all the stuff out to another room and later I moved all the reamaining stuff out as well.

Tomorrow my friend is comming again to help and we will paint the kitchen, and all that THANKS to the mice ;-)

I’ll make pictures of the result!

Spring re-furb? Week 15 prompt.

Well – this pic is of the “dead space” behind the door in my spare room/ studio. I’ve just put the table there to get the printer off of the floor, but it just doesn’t work for me. It doesn’t feel right, doesn’t look right and just plain doesn’t WORK!! I think I need to sort out the clutter underneath and maybe put some pics on the wall… any suggestions gladly received!!

Eight!

I still new how to publish…pfiew it worked. Here’s week eight. I really liked all the stuff that everybody has been publishing!!! It is really inspiring and I must admid that I missed it being away for so long!

Take care!

Way behind ;-), Seven!

It has been ages, I am sorry! I’ll try to catch up a bit! Got a new boyfriend… not really an excuse but it does take a lot of time, but it’s happy time ;-)

I still remember the day of the overheard conversation (even though this is months ago!). I went to the market on saterday and waited for my friend in a coffee place. This girl and her friend (a boy) were sitting next to me (tiny tables really close) and she just went of like a gun and neven stopped talking about how she broke up with her boyfriend, the boy only said yes, hmm, oh every now and then….

I was just hoping she would be quiet for a while! But no luck that time.

Take care!
