Third day - Christmas Cards

Loved doing this prompt – so enjoyed making the little envelopes and hiding a mini version of our Christmas newsletter under the stitched pocket.
I will love scanning and putting in the mini cards when they arrive.

Page 2 of my Journal

The next page – The snowflakes are on acetate overlaid on the page and the flower is the handle to lift so you can read the entry. I find I have so much to say – I am journalling on my computer for this project.

My Journal Cover & Day 1 Page

I’m crossing my fingers that this works! LOL! It’s been a while since my last class with Shimelle so I hope I remember how to post.

Anyway, this is the cover of my journal along with my first page. I’m using a spiral album from Heidi Swapp for my journal. I covered the book with some of my favorite Christmas papers and a small memorabilia charm that has the title and some fake shiny snow inside of it for fun. My day 1 page is very simple. I want to try to keep all of my pages simple and easy.

Hopefully I can post Day 2’s page soon. I’m just waiting for some paint to dry.

Lynne's Page for Day 3

Okay, I shouldn’t have done this, but I peeked at the prompt for Day 3 and was so inspired, I created this page a day early! Sending and receiving Christmas cards are two of my favorite things in the world, so how could I resist?

This is a photo of our mailbox yesterday, and I made it into a pocket to hold our Christmas card for this year.

So much fun!

What about the weather?

The girls loved making papersnowflakes… would not have taken the time for it apart from this… already seeing the benefits of slowing down so thank you Shimelle and everyone else working along with me. :)

Snow adds beauty to Christmas. It can be fun, but for older
people it can be a problem. My singing group tries to get
to as many nursing homes and retirement center as possible
during the month of Dec. so we hope we don’t have so much
snow we can’t make it to the centers. Music is such an
important part of my life, I think I’ll include music on each
page.
