Day Four… This page took me a day… I kept trying to think of what my DREAM Christmas would be. I pulled pictures from Pottery Barn homes with beautifully decorated fronts covered with lights and snow. I found perfectly made gingerbread houses and then could not make a page of it. I realized that I LOVE our small gingerbread houses that are sooo basic being decorated by our two and five year olds. Our lights are not going to be in a magazine but they are soo fun and us and childlike which is what I am loving so much about Christmas this year… we are losing a lot of the formal, stressful, perfect stuff. :) So I am happy to have realized that I will very likely have the Christmas of my dreams this year! :)

Day Five… I have looked at Advent calendars year after year and always wanted one but could never spend the $50 to get the ones that I wanted. This year I bought a template from ScrapGirls.com to make my own with great intentions. Well when this assignment hit, I could not let the day end without making that calendar. The girls and I had fun cutting out all the parts and pasting it together. I have their pictures on this page more than the calendar because we have the calendar to see year after year. I want them to look back at these journals that I will make year after year and see them celebrating and participating. :)
