I can’t remember a bad Christmas, but I did think of a
unusual one. I remembered many wonderful Holiday
memories. I put a picture of my Granddaughter, the
year of her 2nd grade when she sang her first solo.
Every year after that all through school including college
she gave us a special gift of her talent. This year once
again she is sharing her wonderful talent with this Christmas
Journal. On the unusual side my Grandsons were playing
with the train that went around the tree, you know what
happened the tree came down. Just another part of being
a Grandma. When they are kids they are a handful and
when they grow up they are a heartful.

I made the “tree” from Jenni Bowlin ticket paper. I didn’t have any gold paint for the star so I used an ink pad instead, then I journaled around the page to frame my tree.

I got the pictures from Ballard Design, I fell in love with the leopard print on the stockings.

Used a vellum envelope stamped with tree and some basic grey letters, inside envelope is tag journal, good christmas memory on one side, not so good on the other, and in between are photos of me (on the left with the teddy) and my cousin anne – think this was about 1968.

Hurrah, another page done, I am slowly catching up again, but no way I’ll manage 2 prompts a night this week!

Anyway, it’s a bit more graphic and not so journaling this one as I covered my advent calendar addiction in my day 1 prompt. So I just wanted to create a nice little count-down and er play with my stash! ;oD

Close-ups on the blog – I am really liking my contrast button with all this KI it has to be said, you get some wild colours. hehe

I have the 3rd & 4th done but am waiting for an order of some paper for one and a photo for the other. Will post them when they are complete. This is so much fun – I am loving this class.

I couldn’t quite bring myself to think of a less than lovely Christmas so I came up with this twist and it amused and moved me.

Decided to use 2 pages for this entry. I had quite a bit to say. This prompt was perfect since I created an advent calendar for my family this year and we are enjoying it so much (you can see more of it on my blog). TFL!!!
