Past Present and Future

I am not sure that I got this one right – but I went with my heart and have just sobbed my way through entry number 12.
It was hard to do but i am so glad I have included these feelings in my journal.
The text as ever is on my blog, but the whole of the page from the film strip upwards lifts up to show the journalling. The pictures are of me at various ages

Silver Trees

This page was the easiest so far. I wrote the journal at one in the morning and this evening put the page together. The most difficult part was taking the picture. I am so proud of myself. I am NOT behind.

Joyfully,

my day 7 page

I spent the past week sick with the flu so I’m trying to play catch up today. LOL!

This is my day 7 page. My goal for this holiday season is to make it as stress-free as possible. It’s been a bit of a challenge since I got a late start on Christmas shopping, cards, etc… But thankfully I’m almost done with my shopping and should be all done by this weekend :-) My page is pretty quick and simple. I used some Basic Grey paper and a tag. I also got the “one day at a time” page from a Scrapologie kit. I used some Heidi Swapp journaling spots and I cut out the nintendo ds, the doll and the starbucks thing from some ads. They kind of represent some of the things we’ve been buying for Christmas for our family.

Page 11-Christmas Tree

I put hidden journaling on this one. Behind the angel I
wrote about how I fell in love with this 3 foot tall angel
at Hobby Lobby . It was on a tree on display, they didn’t
have one for sale, but the manager took it down from
that tree and let me buy it. I still love it.
I’m picky about my Christmas tree, I always have been.
I don’t mind if the kids move things on it or my cats
play with the ornaments. I just move them back later.
I have my tree decorated in blue and gold, as well as
most of my house. I do have a 4 foot tree in the front
window that I decorated in red and gold.

On a pocket on the back I tell of my adventures with my
Daddy when I was 10, looking for the perfect tree. This
was a long time ago but still fresh in my mind, it still makes
me smile. Miss Daddy so much.

The DRAMA of the tree

I knew this would be a prompt and I knew what I would have to do for it.
The page looks like a normal Christmas tree page – but underneath lurks the secret – the CFH – and why they made the tree a drama.

There are pictures underneath which explain but I don’t want to spoil the story. It is all on my blog as I can’t type it all again here (Suffering with a bad cold)

Day 5 - Advent

Would you believe I took an over conceptualizing this page then 3 hours executing it? What was I thinking? Can someone please share with me how I can get a page done that includes some artistic element in 30 minutes or less? I want to do it all—cards, wrapping gifts, work, etc. AND do my Christmas journal. :) Five entries in ten days means I’ll still be working on this in February. LOL

Day 4 - Perfect Christmas

I clipped these images from catalogs and added them because I thought they represented some of the beauty and fun of Christmas.
