Hello Future Friends!

This is my first venture into journaling. As an artsy person I thought an “art” journal would be a way of getting my feet wet without it being a totally terrifying experience. I am a 44 year old mother of two grown daughters (and soon to be one son-in-law). I am a partner is a Tax Accounting firm in Phoenix Arizona. My husband and I married after our first year of college. He was majoring in Math with an emphasis on teaching. I was an art major with an emphasis in painting. Let’s see; who stood a better chance of supporting the family! Yep—I dropped out to go to work and when he graduated I went back to school. I discovered I had an aptitude for accounting and my husband utter the soon to be prophetic line “Why don’t you major in accounting and you can do art in your spare time!” Twenty-five years later, I now have spare time! Well that’s not entirely true. In the last 10 years I have dabbled in oil painting, watercolors, pastels, cross-stitching, scrapbooking, paper arts…anything that involves creativity and color—Love Color! Here are some of my art journal necessities.
