A first timer

Be gentle with me, this is my first art journal experience! :o)

I’m a 27 year old translator by day, scrapper by night living in the UK. I’ve only really been scrapping for just over a year and a half or so, before then I was an avid card-maker and accumulator of stash.

I’m not sure what I would describe my scrapping style as, I love colour, detail and fonts… I’m hoping to get reacquainted with my handwriting. I absolutely love writing with fountain pens, but since leaving university I don’t think I’ve handwritten more than a paragraph of text in cards and the like. Heaven knows what state it is in now!

Anyway, I’m looking forward to trying new things, experimenting and also letting loose and being able to create with abandon!

I have a blog, there’s more randomness on there, and if I can work it out, I hope to have successfully added it to the blog list… hehe

Anyway, here is a sample of my necessary items:

My journal (oh I went a bit mad and bought a rather nice leather bound one… it was calling out to me! It is a bit like a satchel in style and the pages are separated by a sheet of tissue paper, so I want to incorporate that in some pages.)

My favourite fountain pens – Scheaffer medium and fine nib – have misplaced my Watermans.

A few inks – there are many more!

Letters – Stamps and rub-ons: couldn’t be without them.

Paint – this week’s colour of choice is Honeydew.

Sticky stuff – I have stocked up on herma!

Pretty stuff – ribbons and detail

And finally – a brand new clean page!
