Week 16 Visual Landscape Haiku

Week 16 we were challenged to write our own poem so I wrote a Haiku to go with my birdhouse photo and used some Oriental papers to complete my vision. The red border goes around all sides about 1/2 inch. Traditional Haiku poems use 5*7*5 as the syllable base for each of the three lines so I used that as my guide.

A sloping red roof
Hinged white box with perch and hole
Simple home for birds

Peeling stripes on shed
Red berries arch into view
Whimsical Silence

Empty perch awaits
Songbird finding residence
Christmas in the spring
