article: One thing page | written down

This is called Vision. I really tried to stick with one thing but it sort of grew:) The background is the other side of my Odyssey spread. I just put blobs of acrylic paint and spread them with a credit card. I let this dry and then spread another color over the top with a paper towel. the pictures are done using the bleaching technique. I had a bunch of baby pics that turned out way too dark and didn’t want to throw them away. You can barely see the images but it’s a pic of my littlest girl being held by her daddy. I put the lens over it and used some paper from an eye chart. I mean it in the broadest sense of Vision in terms of the journey of their lives. I guess being a mom really makes me excited to think of what my kids will choose to do in their lives since it’s their turn now. It also makes me kind of sad because even though I know I’m not that old, I feel very aware that I’m in a different phase and that it’s not about my ‘potential’ anymore, it’s just what is.
