week two :: liberation

Well, there is much angst here. I will spare you the nitty-gritty details of my journaling. Basically, time for a change. It’s been a long time coming – but is it worth the RISK?

Basically, I am not afraid of risk. I was prompted this week to look at an area of my life that needs a good scrubbing but since it impacts my children, then I will have to scrub delicately and selectively, I’d say.

Acrylics on watercolor paper. Bunch of mixed-media stuff including a rub-on butterfly (bought like 4 years ago and finally had the chance to use). The journaling is written on a plastic paper sleeve (the kind scrapbooking papers are shipped in) and stapled down. The swirly element at the upper left was inspired by the logo for the Agatha Christie Society. Loved that it was question marks; created a unique element. Over-exposed the photos (a bit TOO much; but kinda liked the effect anyway) with S.’s bleach technique. All round, had a good time with this.
