Midweek spark - books

Although this was supposed to be about 3 books, it ended up making me reminisce about my childhood dream of living in a house posh enough to have a library.

I’m determined to keep my mistakes and this is one. LOL. I had a smudge of paint on this from a previous page so dry brushed similar colours on the background then dry brushed some gold glaze in too. Title is rubber stamping coated with teadye varnish, rubbed down and then some gold glaze. The marks up the side are supposed to represent a row of books in a library. The books at the bottom are QK soaked in walnut ink.

The books I picked up were:-
Objects of my affection by Sarah Lugg – one of my alltime favourite books. It has my love of poetry, quotes and a beauty that is gentle on the eyes and spirit.
My everyday bible which is usually nearby when I am in the house.
The wee book of Calvin. Air-kissing in the North-East. by Bill Duncan. This is a fabulous wee book that a friend gave me for Christmas. It is so descriptive of the way folk talk in the East of Scotland. Here’s one tae wet yer whistle – Nae need for art: God made aathing ye need. Or – Nae rainbow withoot rain.
