The timing of this topic was pretty ironic. See every year for as long as I can remember I’ve always made handmade Christmas cards. In fact I can’t even remember the last time I bought any store bought cards. Well this year has just been so busy and hectic and I have been really behind and hadn’t even started my cards yet. I looked at my schedule for the next couple of weeks and I realized that it would be almost impossible to start them now and get them out in time. So yesterday I finally broke down and gave in and just bought some cards at the store. I know it sounds silly but I almost felt like I had failed because I wasn’t able to make them this year (yes, I know it’s crazy). Luckily it didn’t take me too long to get over it. So I just had to laugh when I saw today’s prompt.

My page is pretty simple. The background is paper from Rusty Pickle. I also used some stamps from Stampin’ Up (calendar), Autumn Leaves (journaling stamp) and PSX (Santa Postmark). I also included one of the cards we’re sending out. It doesn’t open like a traditional card, it has a tag that pulls out the top and the tag can still come out on the page also.
