Wow!
I can’t believe that not only have I covered my journal, but that I am absolutely ecstatic at how it turned out! Okay, maybe ecstatic is too strong a word, but I’m extremely pleased with it and I keep looking at it and going ‘I did THAT!’.
I opened the book out and scanned both front and back covers together, so in the pic the left hand side is the back, and the right hand side the front. Covering the blessed thing took ages, trying to cut all those square holes for the spiral to go through in the patterned paper! The pocket watch is one of my stamp designs stamped with Peacock Gold ink (the edges of the book are inked with this too). The flowers and the key are stickers, and the words are a mix of stickers and rub-ons. Surprisingly enough (for me) it all came together really easily … no agonising over what to put on. I was speaking to someone who was demoing at a show a few weeks ago, she had piles of fabulous tags and things that she’d made. She told me that her secret is that she just doesn’t care – she just goes with the flow and sees what happens – this is my new resolution!
