First Journal Page
Hello
This is my first journal page. It’s a digital collage, but at the size of my real-life journal – roughly 8inches tall by 5.5inches wide. In thinking through why I am doing this, I created a software mindmap – you can see it as a background to the collage. And in that self-analysis I realised that I am both a woman who needs to get messy with marker pens, and I’m a technical chic also – so my journal is a combination of both. I’m going to have digital pages printed out, combined with real life mediums in the same book.
The journal is also getting back to my Pacific roots – hence the colour scheme, ocean imaes, and Pacific Island woman image. I’ve also combined the technical side of me in using the actual mindmap in the collage, and some more futuristic elements such as metalic-enhanced wings and the negative frames.
This was a great exercise. Really enjoying it.
