Domesticate Me....

...Before it’s too late!

The prompt made me think of this photo I found while going through piles of stuff at my mom’s house. Here’s the journaling:

“I was 36 before I made a pie. I was 35 before I felt comfortable in my skin as a mother. I still don’t iron. But I love to cook. Not gourmet meals from Bon Appetit, but plain-jane dishes like Tuna Noodle Casserole and Tortilla Pie. Thank goodness, this is the stuff my family likes to eat. By all accounts, I’m a fairly good cook. I just wish I had more time to do it!”

DOMESTICATE

I used a bunch of stuff on this one… image printed on a transparency (finally got that to work—thanks all, for the advice), acrylic paints, fabric, ribbons, and punches from a book of old ‘50s ads. Then I stamped and embossed the crown and added a little “home” text. Fun!
