Here is my entry for yesterday, 3rd September.

Not really sure what I learned yesterday, but I did make a crumble and decided to add some coconut to the topping. To me, that coconut flavour just evokes strong summer memories, so I felt as if it was still summer just a little bit longer!

I think I also learned that I’ll never be a photographer for a cookery book lol!

TFL!

I went grocery shopping today and I swear every Publix employee I encountered was extra helpful today! Sometimes that’s all it takes.

Today the word is Respect…with a Capitol R! I just got a new exacto knife, not out of the package 10 minutes when I failed to give it enough ‘Respect’. The result, a sliced finger! My little hidden journaling is under the striped tab with the spiral clip. I need some of those ‘toggle’s to hold the pages down, like those! Did this one VERY fast to give that a try. Oh… high lighted the warning on the package ‘Sharp Blade. Handle with Care’..pat

My lesson (and I hope it will timely) was my optician suggested I get my cholesterol level checked. Might be nothing but I have dithered for a few weeks – but I made an appointment today and get the test tomorrow – will be able to do another page later or just add to this one with the result

Am I ready to learn something new?

Today I went back to school, I’m a teaching assistant. We had a staff training day and the theme of the morning session was “Are we a learning community?” It gave me lots to think about and for my layout today I considered how ready I am to learn something new and what I need to learn to survive the challenges of this year in school.

I put my journalling in the fold over card on the front and decided not to use a photo today. The bits of blue strip that I used say – make a difference – don’t take the easy way – learn from your mistakes. My main challenge is to stop trying to change what I have no control over :-) and to try not to do everything myself when others are willing to help.

I’m trying this again as it didn’t upload last time….....

I couldn’t get hold of the stickers Shimelle recommended so I have improvised…......and I also hate putting my handwriting on LO’s but hopefully I will have got over that by the end of the month….....

03 Sept

We were woken to lots of noise yesterday morning, it appears that i had only half shut the cat flap and a grumpy big fluffy grey cat was sat in pride of place on the conservatory chair – needless to say our two “boys” were not best pleased about having their space invaded

Still loving see all the pages together….

I couldn’t get the stickers that Shimelle recommended so I improvised….......and I’m not great at putting my handwriting straight onto a LO but I’m hoping by the end of the month I will have got over that…......

4th Sept

I found today very difficult because I’ve only done one thing and then it occured to me that I spend a LOT of my days doing the same thing! When we came off of dial up my DH was sent a final statement, apparently somebody had been signed on for 21 HOURS SOLID!!!! (Sadly not much has changed since then)

Well here’s my effort for the day anyway. I hope the photos are OK, I find that the hardest part!

Thank you for looking.
