I should know 1- -

Sorry – forgot to upload the pic – here it is! Told you I was confused!!

Tranquility

Something I realised today after a very stressful period at work.

Hope this works

I am getting so many interruptions I’m no longer sure where I am up to.

I should know - -

Sorry about the pic – its not turned out as well as I hoped. I am busy playing catch up – but do want to say I am enjoying being able to pick and choose my LO design cos I a bit behind! I have managed to “scrap” a bit EVERY day though as I am making the page LO just using my papers then adding pics/journalling later. And I’m still using my stash!!! So am quite proud of myself really – this might have to go in the journal!

Eating healthy

I wanted my husband to eat more fresh fruit,
he never seemed to want to. One day he was
in the mood for lasagna, so I said you need
some fresh fruit too, so I just put a pear on
the plate with his lasagna. We both laughed,
which we do a lot and he took the picture.
Then he cleaned his plate.

Sep 11th

First post, and i’m rather behind. Well, I havn’t completed yesterday’s yet. Wanted to post my Sep 11 page though, it’s quite self explanatory. It didn’t feel right making a page on such a poignant day.

Phew, first time posting jitters nearly over!

Finally Caught Up!!

YAY!

September 8. I learned that I love Fridays this semester. I’m used to teaching a M/W or T/TH schedule. This semester, I’m teaching a MW and a MWF and it has my mental schedule all off. I learned this Friday that there is nothing better than the start of the weekend!

September 9. The hubs and I have this little tradition now of going out to breakfast before running our weekend errands. It is like a date at the start of the day! And I don’t have to make breakfast! Always a plus.

September 10. Oh, I lied. No pic yet for this.
September 11. I got a little dark here, because I didn’t want to use all happy and cheery paper for it. It isn’t just a tribute to 9/11, but I really learned something…I’m still not ready to process all of my feelings yet.

September 12. No more summer. Today is chilly and dark and windy. I actually need a light sweater. Fall is coming!

Now I have to figure out where the pic for Sept 10 went.

Only Rainbows Sept.12

I’m in Kansas, just like Dorothy. My husband found
a way to prevent tornadoes, he build us a safe room,
haven’t seen a sign of a tornado since.

Catching Up

Finally updating. Internet has been a real pig lately, and finally has decided to cooperate. Doesn’t it know that I can’t live without it????

LOL

Anyway, here are the first few that I haven’t uploaded yet. Please forgive the long post. I thought lumping them together would be better than posting individuals.

3 September, we were still in Charleston on vacay. We visited an old plantation called Middleton Place, and as a slave historian myself, I expected to hate it, but learned that despite the fact that most plantations do not focus on the African-American experience, this one did and did a good job of it too.

4 September, we drove home to Atlanta, and I learned that I develop some sort of talking disease in a car during long trips.

5 September, I had the day off from teaching, but had to catch up on the mountain of email that was waiting for me in my various inboxes.

6 September, back to school after the holiday. My students are zombies anyway in my US Since 1865 class because the class is so late in the day, but after a long holiday, I just couldn’t keep them interested.

7 September, I got a phone call from my sister. We aren’t close at all, and are known to barely speak for periods of time. This time, it was as if we had that picturesque sister relationship. Just threw me for a loop.

So that’s it so far! Now I’m off to get the rest photographed and I comment on all the yummy stuff I see in the gallery!

TFL!!

Thursday's page

OK, a bit behind again but never mind!

This is my page for 7th Sep. I was getting a bit stressed after lunch on Thursday – we were running a bit late for collecting my oldest son from school. I found myself getting all wound up.

The plan is that normally we come straight home from picking ds up, do homework then I get dinner ready. However, on Thursday because it was quite a nice afternoon (for a change!), and because I had been feeling a bit stressed, I decided to take the kids to the local park and we had a fun afternoon. We got a takeaway for dinner instead!

The lesson? I am allowed to change the routine once in a while! Having fun is more important!

I kind of rushed this page as I am a bit behind, so it’s not looking as great as I hoped – however, getting it done and the lessons are more important (to me) than the scrapbooking technique, so perhaps that is another lesson for me – it doesn’t have to be perfect?!

TFL!
