Weekend Spark - Smile

Okay I had loads of fun with this one and I am still chuckling over this.

Week 4 - home

I finally got around to working on my AJ and did my HOME entry .

I just used stamp pads for the background not loving this entry but it did get me back into a groove.

Fresh Beginnings

I know that I am WAAAAAY behind – I just started. I am sort of on vacation so plan on catching up. I started my journal and used the first week to summarize my journaling of Week One to the front of my journal.

Weekend Spark 29/5 Favourite Day

I don’t really have a favourite day, however I have chosen Sunday mainly because I get to relax with my dh!

Used chalks, inks, fiber and journalling on this page.

Week 4 - Home

Home to me is like a country cottage chocolate box! Comfortable, warm and pretty with a lovely garden.

My house has been ‘constructed’ using floral patterned towelling card, with a sparkly front door and diamonte knocker. The jey represents entry to my home and where my heart lies.

Wings entry

I have a journal entry on this topic but my scanner died and now my digi cam died so I have no way to post it. so today i decided to do an all digital collage entry on the subject. I blended two photos in Photoshop and then used some filters. Thanks for looking!

Ok… so shimelle said think about alliances. I came up with three. My husband, my sisters, and my girls at work.

very very simple entry. Colored pencils for the background. and the pics I collaged in photoshop elements then printed directly onto the paper.

left the journaling to the bare minimum, since I think the pics speak for themselves.

and I like how the collage action and the colors blend them all together… like they’re all separate, but all mine :)

Week Eight Fairy Child

This is the first photo that sprang to my mind when the “wings” theme was suggested. My dd at age 3 with her fairy wings. The puppy in the photo has wings too. I sanded the edges of the photo and produced some sparkling star like thingys that I just loved.
W.B. Yeats provided my journaling with his awesome poetry.

Come fairies
Take me out
Of this dull world,
For I would ride
Upon the wind
And dance
Upon the mountains
With you
Like a flame.

Come away O human child!
To the waters and the wild
WIth a fairy, hand in hand
For the world is
More full of weeping
Than you can understand.

Thanks for looking,
~jane

yes i am 2 weeks behind…

i tried the tracing assignment, however, i did not have tracing paper or vellum (imagine that a scrapbooker without a product…just seems wrong) so i traced my pic onto a transparency. my hubby found it funny that i gave myself facial hair, but i was trying to shade…LOL

i love this quote!!!

Catching up...Again!

I seem to have trouble finishing one prompt before starting on the next so I end up finishing a few all at once. And, it takes me a while…the ideas have to percolate and I end up futzing with my pages, adding and subtracting until I’m satisfied. A few prompts I’ve even done more than once (like Home). I’m sorry these are out of order, I feel so scattered, I’m usually more organized. A few of these are still a little “scrapbook-y” but overall, I feel like I’m getting it… breaking out. Even if just a little! Have a lovely day! jamaica
